I'm Polina, nice to e-meet you
Graduated in 2018 from the Department of Visual Communications at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Tel Aviv, specializing in Data Visualization and UX.
Originally from Belarus, I’ve relocated twice—first to Israel and later to the Netherlands—so adapting to change has become second nature to me, and languages come easy to me (I speak English, Russian, Hebrew, a bit of Spanish, understand Dutch & German)
My connection to design began long before I knew what design was:
At six, I was crafting collages from gum wrappers, flowers, and shattered glass, layering them under sand like hidden treasures. Collected parts from broken TVs and electronics, trying (with more enthusiasm than success) to rebuild them. Building ships from wood I found in nature. This hands-on curiosity has always been part of my DNA (Talking about DNA, I am a geneology nerd)
Devil is in the details (aka I have OCD)
Growing up with OCD, I learned to channel my attention to detail into organizing, analyzing, and making sense of complexity—skills that now define my work as a designer. I’m always eager to learn, ask questions, and explore new tools and perspectives. Outside of design, I enjoy caring for plants, exploring history, traveling, and sharing good food with others.
I partner with AI tools to increase my skill set
I am working with AI tools as my partners to boost my skillset as a designer. This help me do my work faster, bring more knowledge, create quick prototypes and ideas efficiently , as well as raise ethics questions. Lovable, ChatGPT, Cloude and others are my pertners in crime.
